What qualifications do your electricians have?
We are NICEIC approved, fully qualified city and guilds and work to British Standards BS 7671
How can I tell if I need a rewire?
If you have an older property which hasn’t been tested for a few years it would be worth considering having a periodic inspection, warning signs that you may need a rewire could be experiencing slight shocks from switches and sockets, fuses tripping or have damaged or exposed worn cable, if any of these are the case you should contact a qualified Electrician.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Absolutely. For your peace of mind, we offer 12 months guarantee on most workmanship.
We strive to ensure the workmanship of our tradespeople lives up to your expectations – and ours. Our goal is always your 100% satisfaction. However, we understand that there can be rare occasions where our work doesn’t meet the expected standards. On these rare occasions we will come out and rectify the issue at no additional cost to you.
Due to the nature of certain works or repairs, we are unable to provide the 12-month labour guarantee. This will be clearly marked on your invoice. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask one of our friendly call centre team.
How often is a periodic inspection required?
Your electrics should be inspected and tested every:
- 10 years for an owner-occupied home.
- 5 years for a rented home.
- 3 years for a caravan.
- 1 year for a swimming pool.
Other times when a periodic inspection should be carried out are:
- When a property is being prepared for letting.
- Before selling a property or buying a previously-occupied property.
How much do you charge for a call out?
Call outs are charged at £70 for the first hour and then £40 per hour after that between 7am – 5pm (Monday – Friday). Anything outside these times are subject to an additional cost. Materials required for call outs are charged at cost. Larger jobs will be a fixed priced quotation subject to the work required.
Are you accredited electricians?
Yes we are accredited with the NICEIC on the Approved Contractor scheme. It is important whether it is our company or any other contractor that you search for them on their regulator’s database so that they are who they say they are in order to avoid any nasty surprises further down the line. Even though we are supremely confident in our work; we provide the extra reassurance that our work is fully insured against any damage to property/life caused from our workmanship (please ask our customer services agents for further details should you wish to do so).
